First Impression of Level 3

Ouch. Ouch. Double Ouch. Yep that basically sums the last 12 hours up for me.

Felt great doing the workout yesterday early afternoon.  resumed to using my weights for almost everything.  Only  exception was the Jumping Jacks with weights (after realizing my legs move much quicker than my arms when they are holding 5 lbs in each hand and nearly bruising the outsides of my thighs).  So just put down the weights and did regular jacks instead.

Woke up with horrible back pain.  I can only describe it as the muscles on the sides of my spine feel like they are squeezing it.  I’m wondering if it’s from the last set of plank things where you hold yourself up on the weights, do an armlift followed by a leglift.  That was hard and made me feel like my shoulder was going to pop out of socket, but wondering if it somehow pinched my back muscles too.  Anyone else experience pain like this with level 3?

Again being as uncoordinated as I amrealizing that I am, I’m sure I  looked like an idiot trying to do the jumping lunges from one leg to another…kinda felt myself jupming and then putting my lower leg back gently like a horse galloping.   So I’m sure I looked like some kind of fairy on PCP or something.  But I kept trying and I  pray hope that I get better the further along I go. 

Then of course, there is the aching pain in my inner thighs from those damn jumping squats!  Yowza those were painful!  I know they will work and who doesn’t need inner thigh work.  (If you don’t please don’t tell me about it, I have this fantasy that everyone suffers from that, makes it easier to see my jiggle.)  LOL!

So overall, Level 3 had me hurting more while doing it, but I don’t think I sweat as much as I did in Level 2 but maybe that’s because I spent most of the time watching what they were doing to be sure I was doing it right, but I hurt today a little like I did after starting Level 1.  Hope I see results.  I ordered a bikini today…first time I will have worn one in probably 5 years…so I am motivated to make something happen!!!

 

Edited note:Just finished Day 2….yes it still sucks  and I wanna add traveling pushups to my detest list.  Thank you.  🙂

  1. “A fairy on PCP”… now that’s quite the imagery!! I’ve watched several of the segments on YouTube and the more I watch, the more I really want this DVD!! Everyone is making it sound so challenging and invigorating. Even all the complaints of pain aren’t making me NOT want it!!! Maybe I’ll have to dig out some of the old videos I’ve bought over the years and do some of those first to prove I’m committed enough.

    And yes, I suffer from a desperate need of inner thigh work, too. Blegch.

  2. Oh yes, that’s level 3 alright, surprisingly I wasn’t sore except for my side obliques! But those jumping lunges, I am the same way, wow those are killer. I hope you didn’t pull a back muscle.
