Wednesday Weigh-In Week 5

Its Wednesday again already….time to weigh in for the challenge over at Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans

I am disgusted to say I am up to 149.6 this week…WTF!!!!  Thats 2.4 lbs up from last week.  Dropped my total loss for the challenge to 3.4 lbs….not a step in the right direction.

I didn’t work out once this week…not once single time.  Started up again on Monday and my thighs are killing me so I’m sure some of the gain is from my muscles holding whatever it is they hold when they are sore.  I splurged on some treats this weekend and only had a few beers but didn’t overdo it like I have in the past.  So I expected to see a pound or so gain….but not almost 2 and a half flippin’ pounds…that just bites the big one.

Wednesday Weigh-in Week 4

It’s WEDNESDAY!!!!  That means its time for the weekly weigh-in over at Shrinking Jeans, and I have been dreading this weigh-in since last week when I knew it was going to be a tough weekend filled with temptations!

I am thrilled to say I am down to 147.2 this week!  Thats 1.2 lbs lost….even with the tons of beer!  Woot-woot!  Total loss for the challenge so far is 5.8….2.2 left to get to my challenge goal!

Not much to write, ina  hurry before I head to work.  It’s month-end and closing the books in one less day than normal is keeping me sooo busy.  Good part is I have Friday off….so that’s the silver lining I am trying to focus on whether then how tired I am or how much I am working this week.

Had a party with 33 people here on Saturday, but to my credit I was very good on the food front and didn’t overeat at all.  Had 2 cookies the whole weekend, and resisted the brownies!  I did however have my share (and probably a few of yours) of beer.  Good times but I admit I did feel like crap on Sunday and spent some time in the bathroom.  Didn’t puke though, so that’s a plus!  Crazy how much my body has changed and can’t tolerate much variation anymore, must mean I have made major life changes instead of just weekday dieting!  That makes me feel good.

I only worked out twice this week, last Wednesday and Friday.  This week we have had issues with our koi pond…so that has consumed my evening after getting home from work.  We have lost 7 fish in the last week!  One to a crane and the other to something in the water I think.  Had the water tested, only thing that came back high was the alkalinity was up a touch, so got some treatment yesterday and put in another aerator to get more oxygen introduced in case that was the issue. 

Next week…hope to see another pound down.  Saturday is the day I was planning to be at the 50 lb mark….however that doesn’t seem realistic now.  But I’ll take 45!


Wednesday Weigh-In Week 3

It’s WEDNESDAY!!!!  That means its time for the weekly weigh-in over at Shrinking Jeans, and I am thrilled to say I am down 2.6 lbs this week! 

That’s ABSO-FN-LOOT-LY Fabulous! 

Total lost for the challenge is 4.6 lbs so far.  Three woots!  Woot-woot-woot!    I finally got to the 40 lbs total loss mark….and surpassed it making my total as of this morning 41.4 lbs!  I can’t imagine ever going back to my old weight, even when I get pregnant I hope to top out at 170 or something not pushing 190 like I was last summer. 

Had a small loss last week with my friend TOM visiting.  Did good all week on the food front, with the exception of pizza for dinner on Saturday and leftover pizza for both meals on Sunday, maybe my body needed a jolt away from the regular stuff I had been eating.  I’m certainly not planning to start eating like this again, but I’m so thankful it didn’t hinder my weight loss this week.  Stopped drinking diet soda for breakfast and switched to coffee with SF creamer.  It helps too since I have been getting up at 5 to exercise a few times a week.  Much better since the temps have been 80-90 here this week.

Finished Level 3 last week and moved onto Banish Fat Boost Metabolism from Jillian.  It is an hour long and is a tough workout.  Its more kickboxing and cardio than The 30 Day Shred was, nice change and apparently my body is liking it too.  Got up this morning to do it, but only got half way done.  Just wasn’t into it…have a lot on my mind this week and felt myself petering out so I did my cool down and called it a day.  Gonna do some more landscaping tonight so I will get some activity in just not BOOSTing.

Next weeks goal….1 pound.  Cake walk right?  We’ll see…we have a 50th birthday party on Saturday and there will be lots of tasty cold beverages consumed.  Might need to check into that MGD 64!


Wednesday Weigh-in Week 2

Time for the weekly weigh-in over at Shrinking Jeans, and even though I am dealing with TOM who will be visiting me in the next day or so…..I am down .6 lbs this week.  Just one woot for this week!

Did good on the food front, with the exception of a pizza few beers Sat night, so guessing I went over my total calories by about 500.  Sunday at the wedding shower I had one cupcake (red velvet…delish!) and some ice cream so that put me up a couple hundred for that day too.  But I hovered around  my point last week for a while, so really feeling TOM is the culprit this time and not the pizza.  God bless being a woman!

Worked out everyday except Friday and Sunday this week, my shins and knees are killing me lately, damn level 3 plyometrics!  Thinking I’m ready to switch to another workout, maybe Boost your Metabolism by Jillian…its on Exercise TV so might as well try it.  Will take my measurements tonight and post results from Level 3.

Would really like to shoot for 2 lbs for the next weigh-in…praying I pass the 40 lbs mark soon!!!



Wednesday Weigh-in Week 1

Well today is the first WI over at Shrinking Jeans, and I am happy to say…..I lost 1.4 lbs this week for myself and the purple team!  Woot-woot!

Ate as planned 95% of the time, got 5 days of exercising in and stayed positive with the help of all my Purple teammates and other shrinking jeans sisters!  Need to try to start getting more water in, so this next week I am going to try to drink 3 bottles while I am at work (refilling them of course).  I have been having a diet soda with breakfast to get a kick start on the day, so I really need to start eliminating that ritual if I can…but it will be hard.

Off to get my Shred on in a few minutes…level 3 is tough, but my back is better so that’s encouraging.  Think I just twisted too hard on something, glad it’s nothing worse.  Hope everyone else had a good WI too…baby steps people…baby steps!

Weigh-in Wednesday

Well it’s Wednesday, and that is the day all the ladies weigh in over on the Sisterhood.

WI this morning was at 153, which is down up a bit from my normal weekly WI on Saturday of 152.2 (no thanks to graduation cake and no-bakes).  But this is my starting point for their next challenge which starts today.  I am proudly a member of Team Purple and can’t wait to see what all the new challenge holds for us!

***Oh and hell must currently be freezing over, because I got up at 5 AM to do Level 2 shred because I know I will be at work late tonight and wanted to be sure I got it in!  Was dreading it, but I actually feel pretty good right now…check with me again in 12 hrs and see how I’m doing…that could be a different story!
